Cedar Creek Falls San Diego, Trail from Ramona

Hiked down to Cedar Creek falls. Instead of taking the trail from Julian, I took the lesser known trail from Ramona. The trail down from Julian has an 8 mile unpaved stretch. Taking the train from Ramona, I could avoid that. Since I live in San Diego, the drive down to the trail was a short one.

Here is the google map route for the trail and some photographs from my trek.

Any information on an address to park at in Ramona and specifics about the trail (how well it is marked) would be so awesome.

I have hiked to Cedar Falls from both Julian and from Ramona. The hike from Julian is not as steep. The hike from Ramona has a bathroom, but is much steeper.

This hike is not bad on a nice spring day. It's strenuous and even unbearable on a hot day.

Awesome hike! Go early and take lots of water.

You have permission to link to the video of Cedar Falls. You can even go to YouTube and get the code to embed it on your blog.

Idiocy Reigns supreme. But Cedar Creek Sacred again. End exploitation of Nature. Respect the Locals.
The politician who built this trail did it to make himself look better.
San Diego needs an Artist retrospective of the falls. http://t.co/Wn4lFb5 "The best thing about my painting of Cedar Creek falls, is the absence of People."
